Booking the right thing

If you are not sure which service you want, text a photo and a sentence about what you are after and you will get a straight recommendation, including when the answer is a cheaper service than the one you asked about. For lashes specifically, the free 20-minute test patch is a genuinely useful first appointment if you have never had extensions.

02

How to prep

For lashes: arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes, no mascara, and contacts out if you can manage it. Skip the coffee right beforehand so your eyes stay still. For waxing: hair needs about a quarter inch of growth and no retinol on the area for a few days. For facials: come as you are, and bring a list of what you are currently using on your skin.

03

What the appointment is like

It is one person in a private studio, not a salon floor. You will talk through what you want before anything starts. A classic lash set takes about two hours and volume about three, so use the bathroom first, get comfortable, and bring headphones if you would rather not chat. Most people fall asleep.

04

Arriving and timing

Turn up on time rather than early; the studio is small and there is no waiting room to speak of. If you are running late, text, because a late start usually means a shorter appointment rather than a later finish. Give 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or move.

05

Everyone is welcome

The studio is gender-neutral and LGBTQ+ friendly, and that is a description of how it actually operates rather than a line on a website. Whatever you are booking, you will not be asked to explain yourself.

Arrive with clean, makeup-free lashes, no mascara, and contacts out if possible. Skip caffeine right beforehand so your eyes stay still, and plan on two to three hours lying down with your eyes closed.
