Classic, hybrid or volume?
Classic is one extension per natural lash for a clean, mascara-like look. Volume uses hand-made fans of ultra-fine lashes for fullness and softness. Hybrid mixes the two for texture with body. Not sure? Book the free lash test patch and we will map it out together.
Your first appointment
Come in with clean, makeup-free lashes and skip the coffee if you can (steady eyes make for a better set). A full set takes two to three hours depending on style. You will lie back, close your eyes and leave with lashes that look like yours, only better.
Aftercare that actually works
Keep them dry for the first 24 hours, then cleanse daily with an oil-free lash wash. No mascara, no oil-based makeup remover, no rubbing. Book your fill every two to three weeks to keep the set full.
Lash Extensions FAQ
- A full set lasts through your natural lash cycle, roughly four to six weeks, but they look best with a fill every two to three weeks. Mini fills (under 60 minutes) are for lashes that are still mostly full; extended fills are for sets that have gone past the three-week mark.
- Not when they are applied properly. Each extension is isolated onto a single natural lash with a weight and length your lashes can support, so nothing pulls or sticks together. Damage almost always comes from bad isolation, overly heavy sets or picking at them at home.
- Classic full sets take about two hours, hybrid about two and a half, and volume about three. Fills run 60 to 120 minutes depending on the style and how much has grown out.
- Avoid water, steam, sweat and saunas for the first 24 hours while the adhesive fully cures. After that, washing them daily with a lash-safe cleanser is actually the best thing you can do for retention.
- Yes, and it is free. A 20-minute lash test patch lets you check for any reaction to the adhesive before committing to a full set. It is a great idea if you have never had extensions or have had irritation elsewhere.
- At GLAMSTHETICS SLC a classic full set is $145, hybrid is $170 and volume is $200. Fills are $65, $75 and $85 respectively. That sits mid-range for the Salt Lake City area for a solo master esthetician with a 5-star rating.
