Volume Lash Extensions

Volume is built from fans, not singles. Two to five ultra-fine extensions are hand-fanned and set onto each natural lash, so the lash line reads as dense and dark without any single lash carrying much weight. It is the most dramatic set on the menu and, counterintuitively, one of the lightest.

What to Expect

01

Why fans weigh less than you think

A volume fan is made from fibers as fine as 0.03mm to 0.07mm, where a classic extension is usually 0.15mm. Four fine fibers together weigh about the same as one classic lash, which is how a set can look four times denser without pulling on anything.

02

Handmade at the chair

Every fan is made by hand during your appointment rather than picked out of a pre-made tray. That takes longer, about three hours for a full set, and it is the reason the fan can be sized to the natural lash it is going on instead of the other way round.

03

Keeping a volume set full

Volume fills run 120 minutes every two to three weeks. If you have gone past three weeks or lost a lot of fans, book the extended fill at $100 instead, which allows the time to rebuild rather than patch. Oil-free cleansing daily matters more on volume than on any other set.

Volume Lash Extensions FAQ

A volume full set is $200 at GLAMSTHETICS SLC and takes about three hours. Volume fills are $85, and an extended fill for a set that has grown out past three weeks is $100.
