Who notices the biggest change
If your lashes are blonde, light brown, red or greying, a tint is transformative, because the tips of pale lashes are effectively invisible and tinting them adds apparent length. On already-dark lashes the change is subtle and mostly shows at the roots, which still makes the lash line look fuller.
Tint alone or lift and tint
Tint on its own darkens but does not change the curl. If your lashes point straight out or down, pair it with a lift: the combination at $85 is the same 45-minute appointment and is what most people actually want when they ask for a tint.
Safety and sensitivity
Lash tint is a dye used millimetres from your eye, so it is worth taking seriously. Your eyes stay closed and protected with pads throughout. If you have reacted to hair dye, have very sensitive eyes, or are pregnant and would rather not, say so when you book and we will patch test first or talk you out of it.
Lash Tint FAQ
- Four to six weeks. The tint fades gradually as the dyed lashes shed and new untinted ones grow in, so there is no hard line where it ends.
- $30 for a 20-minute lash tint at GLAMSTHETICS SLC. Lash lift and tint together is $85 for a 45-minute appointment, and brow tint is $30.
- No. The dye will not color synthetic extensions and the process is not good for the adhesive. Tint is for natural lashes, which makes it a good option during a break from extensions.
- It should not. Your eyes stay closed and the tint sits on the lashes, not in the eye. A little coolness is normal; stinging is not, and it means say something immediately so it can be removed.
