Cottonwood Heights calls itself the City Between the Canyons, sitting on the southeast bench between Big and Little Cottonwood Creeks and serving as the gateway to Alta, Snowbird, Brighton and Solitude. The studio is about fifteen minutes northwest.

The canyon-season problem
If you ski, your lashes take a beating from November through April. Goggle pressure and the seal around the foam crush and twist extensions, sweat under a helmet loosens the bond, and the dry chairlift wind does the rest. It is the single biggest retention issue for clients from this side of the valley.
What to book for a ski season
A lash lift at $65 is honestly the better call for heavy ski days: six to eight weeks of curl, nothing to crush, nothing to lose. If you want extensions anyway, go lighter and shorter, and keep the fill schedule tight at two weeks rather than three.
Down the hill and across
From the bench it is a straightforward run northwest to Sugar House. Winter mornings after a storm are the exception, so leave extra time on a powder day or book for later in the day.

- About fifteen minutes off-peak to 2006 S 900 E, Suite 107 in Sugarhouse. Allow more after a canyon storm.
- They shorten a set considerably. Goggle foam presses and twists extensions, and sweat under a helmet weakens the bond. A lash lift holds up far better through a ski season, or go with a lighter, shorter extension set and fill every two weeks.
- A hydrating facial every four to six weeks through winter, plus a humidifier at night and sunscreen even on cloudy days. Altitude and dry cold strip the barrier faster than most people expect.
