Pick by what your skin is doing
Blackberry Vanilla ($75) is the deepest hydration option, for dry, tight or mature skin. Coconut Papaya ($65) uses fruit enzymes to gently resurface, so it suits dull, flaky skin that needs brightening more than moisture. Blueberry ($65) is antioxidant-led and good for stressed, reactive or environmentally battered skin.
Dry versus dehydrated
Dry skin lacks oil and tends to flake. Dehydrated skin lacks water and can be oily and tight at once, which is most people in Utah by February. They need different things, and part of the appointment is working out which one you actually have rather than piling on more cream.
Making it last through a Utah winter
Humidifier in the bedroom, a humectant applied to damp skin rather than dry, and an occlusive layer on top at night. Cut back on actives when the inversion sets in. A facial every four to six weeks through the cold months holds the barrier together far better than one in spring.
Hydrating Facials for Dry Utah Skin FAQ
- The Blackberry Vanilla Facial at $75 is the deep-hydration option. If your skin is more dull and flaky than tight, the Coconut Papaya Facial at $65 resurfaces gently first, which lets hydration actually absorb.
- Altitude, desert humidity that regularly sits in the teens, and months of forced-air indoor heat. All three pull water out of the skin barrier faster than it can be replaced, which is why routines that worked elsewhere often fail here.
- Every four to six weeks matches skin cell turnover. Through winter, closer to every four weeks makes a visible difference; in summer you can usually stretch it.
- Yes. The eye area is kept dry and oil-free and steam is directed away from your lashes. Mention your extensions when you book so the products used near the eye are chosen accordingly.
