What it treats
Ingrown hairs, post-wax or post-shave bumps, razor burn, folliculitis, uneven tone and general irritation. The skin in the bikini area is thin and closed in, which is why the ingrowns you get there are more stubborn than anywhere else and why scrubbing harder tends to make it worse.
Time it with your wax
The best window is one to two weeks after a bikini wax, once the follicles have calmed but before the next growth cycle traps hairs under the surface. Booked on that rhythm, it noticeably reduces how many ingrowns you get from the following wax.
How the appointment is handled
One-on-one in a private studio, draped throughout, external skin only. No judgement about what your skin is doing; this is a routine treatment. The studio is gender-neutral and LGBTQ+ friendly, and the appointment is the same whoever books it.

- A facial treatment for the external bikini area: cleanse, light exfoliation, extraction of ingrown hairs if needed, and a soothing mask. At GLAMSTHETICS SLC it is called the Pretty Kitty, and it costs $55 for 40 minutes.
- One to two weeks after. Any sooner and the skin is still settling from the wax; much later and the ingrowns you were trying to prevent have already formed.
- No, they are separate services. A bikini wax is $30 and removes hair; the vajacial treats the skin. Many people book the wax and then the vajacial a week or two later.
- No. It is entirely external, on the skin of the bikini area and outer labia only, and you stay draped throughout.
